Come take a trip into the past when life was less stressful, the pace slower and more gracious. This is what you'll experience when you stay at the Historic CARRVILLE INN, now a bed and breakfast inn of the finest quality. We offer the most elegant and comfortable accommodations in northern California. Stroll under the same majestic oak trees as passengers of the stage coaches that once stopped here. Relax in a hammock under clouds of apple and cherry blossoms in spring. Bask in the sun at the pool in summer. Gaze at the mountains that announce the seasons as they change from springs pristine green to blazing scarlet and amber of autumn.

The sweeping lawns and flowerbeds can be enjoyed from both the upper and lower verandahs. A variety of barnyard and exotic animals remind you that this is truly a Country Inn. Our hens furnish the eggs for your hearty country breakfast. Berries and fruit are picked fresh here, in season.

Our five guest rooms are handsomely furnished with antiques and family heirlooms. You can stay busy or just relax. There are lawn games, books, videos, puzzles, a hammock, a pool, and an old fashioned rope swing available for your enjoyment. The Trinity Alps area has unlimited trails for hiking, excellent stream and lake fishing, boat and patio rentals, tennis courts and a local museum, all near by. Flowers, birds and wildlife abound. The scenery and unpolluted air make this a photographer's and artist's paradise. We are two hours from Ashland, Oregon, home of the famous Shakespearean Festivals. There is a choice of seasonal restaurants.

Our Common Rooms include:
The FIREPLACE ROOM, a large wood paneled room with a massive rock fireplace, lots of books and comfortable seating, the DINING ROOM, with many windows which overlook the rose garden, the SALOON, which is now our Game Room, is decorated to celebrate the outdoorsman with examples of hunting, fishing and trapping, is filled with games, a dance hall piano, a refrigerator for your use and more comfortable seating, and the UPPER VERANDAH, furnished with white antique wicker. Three of our guest rooms have private baths, two share a bath, and the shower room is available to all of our guests.
